Today we were choosing out of 3 Activities. I chose the first one which was make three similes about a fast as famous runner called Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce. These are my similes about her.
How are you doing today? It’s great to meet you! My name is Olive and I’m one of the new blog commentators for Kaikohekohe on The Summer Learning Journey this year. I’m working the Teaser Week and I’m so excited to see what you’ll get up to this week.
Congratulations on completing your first activity! What a fantastic start you’ve made! Can I just say how much I love your colours! You’ve obviously put a lot of effort into creating a wonderful poster, and it really shows! Well done on all your hard work! I really enjoyed reading your similes! They were very well thought out. I completely agree with you - Shelly-Ann is a fantastic runner and she must have some great speed to be the fastest woman in the world! Ka pai for a great first post and keep up the excellent work!
Keep participating in the activities, you’re doing a great job so far! What one has been your favourite? Remember the official start of The Summer Learning Journey is 16th December (Next week) so be sure to get online and check all the activities out! There’s lots of points at stake and some great prizes to win!
Thank you again for your great blog post, I’m looking forward to see what else you come up with this week!
Ngā mihi, Olive

Merry Christmas! I hope you are having a great holiday so far :)
My name is Tayla and I am the Cluster Manager for the Summer Learning Journey in Kaikohekohe. I just wanted to pop in and say that it’s not too late to start the programme! You can find the activities here: https://sites.google.com/site/summerlearningjourney/weekly-activities
You can do any of the activities, so take a look at some of the options. I’m sure there will be something that you’ll find interesting to learn about.
