If I went 9030 I would bring M&M's, a burger, PS3, If the PS3 breaks down a PS4 would be good. gummy bears, Pop corn, a Memory clip, clean cloaths and lots of books.

Christmas Tree writing

Today we made sketched a Christmas tree. We put words on our page about Christmas. Then we made a poem.

Reading

On 6/12/2018 we had to read a poem. There were three choices. We Screencastifyed the poem and read it. This is the poem I choose and read.
In reading I am good at reading hard words.

Pirate Coding

On 4/12/2018 we did pirate coding. We had to get a pirate through a grid with out getting boomed. After that we got to make our own. Check out mine. I made a pokemon one.

Time

On 3/12/2018 we made a google draw about telling the time. We got to choose 9 of the times on the side. We made the photos out of a clocks we made. These are my ones I did.

Christmas and Summer poems

On 29/11/2018 I made a Christmas Haiku on a google draw. You have to make a Santa on the google draw. This is the one I did.

                   

Vaseline Saucers

A few weeks ago we did Vaseline Saucers, it had to be Symmetrical. A Vaseline Saucer is made out of flowers and you put them on a plate. Symmetrical means if you cut something in half the side are both the same. This is my Vaseline Saucer.

Art

This term we have completed two pieces of art.

One was inspired by an artist named Kadinsky who used coloured circles in his work. We looked at the contrast between warm and cool colours and the black and white of the buildings.

Kauri slogen Art Work

 15/8/18

We were learning about the Kauri die back and made some slogan and art work. 

First we did a the background.

• we draw the clouds with white and grey crayons.
• dyed the paper blue.

Next we made our leaves

• we pant little paper leaves with green, yellow and brown paint
• then we ripped them up and glued them to the top of the tree

 Then we made our trunks

• We dipped our fingers in the brown, purple, white, black and yellow paint
•  Then we mixed the colours a bit and finger painted the trunk of the tree.

Next we glued on our slogans about what to do in the forest to keep the Kauri trees safe.

Kauri poem

We have been learning about Kauri die-back at school this week. Here is my poem about the Kauri tree. 

Fractions

On Thursday Month 7 we made fractions out of Playdough, Paper and felts, Fruit, Shapes, Lego and the environment. I had Lego for my fractions. Some people had buddies but I didn't. This is one of the 4/4 four quarters.

Flax

We are learning how to how make flowers out of flax, and stars out of wool on pates. With the star you just play around with it mostly, that's why mine doesn't look like a star much. And with the flower, the hard part is that you have to twist the back of it at the end. I thought it was fun as. 

Koru Art

Garden to table

Each week at Garden to Table we are either in the Kitchen cooking or in the garden planting, watering, or weeding. I like to cook. 

Multiplication and Division

We have been working on understanding multiplication and division. We are learning to read word problems and answer them by showing our working and the answer we got.

We have been learning to form our letters correctly and to use capital letters in the correct place.

On Wednesday we had Marlon from ASB Get wise talking to us about saving our money, spending money on needs not wants and using invisible money is eftpos. I have made a google draw to show what I have learnt. I liked learning about the cards .

The Pou

As part of our writing programme we have been doing environmental writing. We had to sketch an object and as we were sketching we wrote down thoughts that we had. Then we wrote our thoughts down  as a poem. We cut out the sketch and added this to our writing.
